After exploring variations to design the product line,&nbsp; we moved forward with a blue gradient color palette and variations of a wreath border design. Millie’s goal is to slowly mature the brand following her growth into adulthood&nbsp;so using the blue gradient both signifies the winter holiday time and was oppportunity to introduce a darker and traditional gameplay with Augmented Reality (AR). Boba Quest`s vision is to capture a cozy, uplifting &amp; adventurous game that doubles as a way of making real life friends and chaotic boba creations. Boba Quest (AR) aims to integrate actual cafes to form partnerships and boba inspired community events. Boba Quest is currently in development by Viridian Studios Inc. and will be available on PC, Mobile and Nintendo Switch to play with friends worldwide. CHALLENGE As a growing start-up, the challenge was to design a brand identity for Boba Quest that establishes a recognizable brand presence while allowing space for Boba Quest to grow and evolve. &nbsp;The brand design must be flexible to allow Boba Quest to exist in several contexts: mobile &amp; console gaming, digital (social media, website), print &amp; production (in-store presence, events, merchandise). Using design, I strived to&nbsp; create memorable and unique experiences for players and the community. Owners from local cafes, gaming and foodie influencers had the opportunity to test and share the game.&nbsp; Working with Viridian Studios Inc., I mapped out brand touchpoint assets that were needed–such as wayfinding, signage, photo-ops, brochures and memos to create this experience. While waiting to demo the game, each group would come up with a team name and be able to participate in a couple of mini game challenges and learn some facts about the Boba Quest game. In the demo room, I had a simple infographic on how to play stationed at each game demo laptop.&nbsp; After trying out the game, players received a game certificate for being the first people to try out Boba Quest! The player with the highest score won a grand prize, a Nintendo Switch! In between one place and another, trying to get from here to there–the space between two certainties. This space can be full of ambiguity, discomfort, disorientation, or sometimes with no clear exit path. Through this project I was curious about how these spaces vary between people. With the same situation presented, some individuals may feel grounded while others do not. This book explores their thought processes and experiences in these spaces. View video clips and photos at spacesbetween.cargo.site MY PROCESS I started with a list of questions and had conversations with individuals I have shared studio with for four years. After our conversations, it led me into a multimedia exploration using video, photo, audio, to respond to the places where where people feel disoriented, and out of control, and the places people feel safe and grounded. Since everyone’s spaces were different, I wanted to allow the conversations to lead the concept and look of the photoshoots. Each photo series address a space – whether it be physical, in the head, or a stage of life.&nbsp;There are also supplemental video and audio clips that&nbsp; highlight specific questions. Following, they continued&nbsp; developing these lenses for a microscopic and x-ray view (2040), for medical research of understanding the human body.&nbsp; As the company begun to expanded its range of views,&nbsp; these lenses began to to gain popularity. A range of san serifs were explored to give the brand a clean, modern, and sturdy and bold feel. Since these lenses connect us deeper to the human world, harsh corners were smoothed out and ink trap-like forms were incorporated.
